Today has been a good day! It started out a bit uncertain, as Shawnee and Max revealed they were feeling a bit too ill for the hike we had planned this Sunday! Steven turned out to be a tad hungover from the night before, and I thought the whole thing was going to be cancelled! Luckily I could bribe Steven with a cooked breakfast, as I live across the hall from his flat! The walk itself was terribly painful, but in a good way! My legs are definitely feeiling it now, and I can’t wait to go to bed! The view was pretty, and we saw a ton of wildlife again, including the lyrebird, another bowerbird nest and an echidna!! The echidna was definitely worth the whole hike (and especially for Steven who wasn’t feeling all that too well, it made it all worth it). We actually nearly missed it, it wasn’t until it moved right next to us below the gangway that we saw it! It was so close that in fact when it moved Steven and I both jumped back a bit out of fright! It was a real treat watching it rummage around in the undergrowth sniffing out food! It was totally oblivious to us too, it was not scared at all and just kept on going with it’s own business! I was literally 20 cm away from it!
