How lovely it felt to return to my old room again! It’s back to it’s old style, after being inhabited by Jodie for a year, with some minor changes. More memories are on the walls, everything from polaroid photos from nights out, postcards I collected in Australia, posters from uni, Camden in London, the Natural History Museum, and other quirky things like newspaper page, maps, swazi notes, and ballet tickets. I love how many new memories I have made and collected since starting uni, everything in my room has a story and a memory attached to it. It’s weird how I’ve lived in three different rooms in the last three years, yet THIS bedroom seems to stand out as the one I love the most. I guess it’s because it’s in a real house and I am more free to decorate and furnish how I want, instead of sterile student accommodation rooms where it’s more limited and more cramp. It definitely feels more homey and personal. The rest of the house is looking a lot more homey as well from my first year of living here, little things, like more pillows and nicer couches, tea bag plates and coffee presses.
