On my second full day in England the family took to the broads in Wroxham. It was a hot and humid day, and so it was a relief to be out on the water where we got the occasional breeze to cool us down. There is something so special about a day on the broads; life seems to slow down a little and everyone can lean back, take a deep breath and just be. I ended up becoming so relaxed I even took a little nap (sitting upright hahaha) on our way home. By the afternoon we retreated into a shaded pub by the river and had some lunch. On our way back we spotted some more great crested grebes before mooring next to an ice-cream boat and getting some vanilla chocolate-flakes cones. Bliss.
